Housing Reconstruction Unit

The Housing Reconstruction Unit (HRU) is a pivotal component of the IFRAP, a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing flood resilience and promoting sustainable development in Balochistan. In the aftermath of the devastating 2022 monsoon floods, the HRU emerged as a beacon of hope, dedicated to rebuilding communities, restoring homes, and ensuring a safer future for vulnerable populations.

Housing Grants

We provide grants to homeowners to rebuild their homes following resilience standards, ensuring safety and sustainability for future generations.

Risk Mitigation

We implement resilient protection infrastructure & enhance early warning systems, with a focus on disaster risk management information.

Environmental Restoration

Our efforts extend to restoring degraded watersheds, contributing to the ecological balance and long-term environmental health of the region.

Social Inclusion

 Ensuring that women & marginalized groups have access to our systems & information is a priority, fostering a community-driven approach to disaster resilience.

Capacity Building

We strengthen institutional capacity at both the provincial and local levels to prepare for and respond to future disasters effectively.

Infrastructure Rehabilitation

We are committed to restoring essential services by rehabilitating damaged community infrastructure, including water supply, irrigation, roads, and community facilities.

The HRU’s initiatives are projected to benefit approximately millions of people across calamity-declared districts in Balochistan, creating a safer, more prosperous future.
